It was SO nice to see these right now. Even though it’s Christmas, seeing some colorful flowers and anything that doesn’t look like a dead stick is refreshing! I might come back and revisit this post sometime in January and then again in February.

Heh, glad you like them. There’s far too many dead sticks about right now.

Beautiful! Those are well worth submitting onto a stock images website!

Aw, that’s a really nice thing to say Jenzy. I need a lot more practise with focus, but to be honest I’m not that interested in doing photography ‘properly’. I just like taking photos. I have thousands of overexposed holiday snaps!

the ‘clematis’ i know. and the ‘foxglove’. little lady-bug always makes me smile. in southern califorina we buy them in boxes, by the thousands, to keep them off our roses. oh, i miss those roses. what was once concrete, i turned into a paradise. i’m 30 miles from that place, but i’m in a different valley and this place is far too dry.
thanks for helping me remember.

I confess to being awful at naming plants. My mother’s garden is full of all sorts.
I used to love the idea of buying ladybirds as a child. I’d read novels with ladybird sellers in them, and it seemed so alien to have that happen. Thank you
