Both 12mm plugs; I’m at 10mm right now. The teapot one is beyond adorable, and I love the cow print.

It’s adorable, isn’t it? Z bought it for me. The cow print is actually really shiny and vivid, but doesn’t photograph well sadly

Ahh, lobe stretching… Reminds me of when I was about 16 years old. I wanted to get thick(er) hoops put in so they used the stretching ‘pole’ to make the hole bigger. I passed out whilst they were doing it! Not too pleasant. And in the end, no thicker hoops either!
Very cute little collection you have going on there though!

Haha! Too many piercers think it’s okay to just shove a taper in. If it hurts, it’s not ready to stretch. It’s taken me over a year to get to 10mm.

A ‘taper’, thank you for the correct terminology!
Good luck with your stretching! Slowly slowly!

Haha, I only know because I’m such a piercing nerd. Thanks! I’ve tried getting the 12mm in, but no such luck

That teapot one is incredibly, incredibly cute. If I weren’t in a religious community where that sort of thing isn’t really allowed, then I might be tempted just because of how cute it is!

It saddens me that so many religious communities have a problem with body mods. I understand why Christianity does, because of what it says in the bible about marking your own skin… but surely it’s the person who’s important? S’s landlord has a lot of Christian friends, and so many were wary of me just because of my piercings and tattoos… which is a huge shame. Luckily not everyone feels that way – enough people can have faith AND accept others to not entirely destroy my belief that religion may not be for me but it’s good for others.

While I may not choose body modifications and tattoos I am always interested in the stories behind the tattoos that my daughter-in-law and son are getting. I have found that there is always a point to body art and some of it is beautiful and awe inspiring. I do like your plugs by the way. That teapot is beautiful and feminine.

See, knowing people like you exist makes it feel much better when someone looks at me funny or makes a snide comment about my piercings. I get a surprising amount of abuse.
Thank you

With being in community, it’s not that the body art/piercings aren’t accepted, it’s simply a case of that jewelry is a luxury and doesn’t go in line with the vow of poverty. So although I have my ears pierced, I deliberately didn’t bring any earrings with me because I’m trying to learn how to live the community life, not to do my own thing within this community.

That makes a lot of sense. I can understand it from that point of view.

Gaw-guz plugz girl, simply gaw-gussssszzz!!!
My daughter is 13 and has put the first stage of widening one hole in a few times, but she takes it out saying it hurts her. She gave herself a second hold instead. LOL–my husband is so strongly opposed to her stretching her ear hole. I think it would be kind of cool. O.o

Ha, there’s always one parent who’s against it. Just make sure she does it slowly if she decides to try again, and doesn’t go too big. Anything over 8mm won’t shrink back, and she doesn’t know how she’ll feel in the future. Stretches can be a problem when it comes to getting a job, and she’s very young.
Thank you!

Yep, exactly. Who even knows what the cool body design trend will be by the time she is in her late teens. Her friends could be like, “Um your big holes are SO 2010″!!

Tats are part of my body markings but the piercings I have been to much of a chicken about. I love my granddaughters. she wears them with femininity and grace. I think she and so many others like you pull this off well.

Lovely! I used to have plugs. 8mm was the largest I got. I’d been thinking about pluggin them again, but sometimes I think I’m too old for it. Then again, too old for what right?

Too old? Nah! Heck I’m considered a bit old to be wearing plugs, and I’m nearly thirty, so I reckon you’re never too old for anything.
8mm is a lovely size; it looks perfect on anyone.
