It is! It’s a patch; I keep meaning to sew it onto my satchel but never get round to it.

Love from a warm evening in Maine! Your study is just lovely — simple, but obviously you. How nice is it to have your own study — no more holding the laptop on the bed. GOod for you and S.

Yes, it’s lovely not to have to balance the laptop on the bed, or have to sit in the kitchen to get a signal anymore! Thank you; it’s below freezing here, and threatening snow again.

Love it. Although there’s something with your yarn stash. It’s not big enough!

Phew! For one minute I thought I was going to have to work out a way of sending you some!!
A good knitter never has enough yarn (even when they’ve got so much they have to hide what they’ve just bought from anyone who might make disparaging comments). I use “good knitter” to refer to mentality, not to actual ability, btw.

Oh, I have plenty of yarn! My mother gave me most of her stash a few week ago; I’m knitting a throw for the sofa and it was getting a bit costly. It’s not a cheap hobby :/ Although I do occasionally find good yarn in charity shops and bargain buckets.

Yeah, even the “cheap” acrylic isn’t that cheap! Keep an eye out for Aldi and Lidl getting yarn in if you’ve one of those near you, because when they do, it’s usually quite cheap and not bad quality. Plus, if you’re not fussy about colour, you can go in when most of it’s sold and get whatever’s left over and been reduced further.
